1:15 is our time to beat! Good thing we did this. This is what we learned:

1) Watch out for man-o-war
2) Have small goals to shoot for in the water & on land
3) A game of tag is a great motivator
4) Jogging with sandy feet doesn't feel good
5) Clothes rubbing on wet skin over time = rash
6) Having Energy & Endurance drink before the race worked

I don't think I mentioned how doing this event is a huge stretch for me. I'm not a runner. It's not on my list of favorite things. Neither is distance swimming. Yet these are the two things I will be doing in the biathlon. Lord, help me.

Why did I decide to do it? 1) I wanted to support my son. 2) I thought it would be a good physical goal (nuts!). 3) I wanted to stretch myself out of my comfort zone.

Healthy has never been so delicious

I have struggled to eat healthy on the run. But over time I have found that breakfast is my easiest meal to get right quickly.

This is today's morning breakfast to go: mango, banana, strawberry, Tropical Strawberry Shakeology and lemon ginsing green tea. It's filling, it tastes great, and its super nutritious. Can't do better with any other breakfast I could possibly have.
